Weekly Specials At Stone+Wood Outlet

Here at Stone+Wood Outlet, we're always excited to announce our Weekly Specials. This week we're featuring end-of-the-season liquidations on decking materials. For a limited time, Massaranduba and Tigerwood decking material will be offered at greatly reduced prices at Stone+Wood Outlet's three retail locations as well as online at www.stonewoodoutlet.com.

Massaranduba, also known as Brazilian Redwood, is a very durable, attractive hardwood. The heartwood can range from a beautiful light brown to dark brownish-red and features a wavy, somewhat interlocked grain pattern. The high Janka hardness and density ratings make Massaranduba naturally resistant to damage and decay.

Tigerwood is one of the most distinctive exotic hardwoods available. It is known for its reddish-brown tones and varied black striping. The wavy, irregular grain pattern complements the warm heartwood tones and produces an attractive, eye-catching look. Tigerwood is a favorite choice of decking material because of its inherent resilience.

The current hardwood decking Weekly Specials are as follows:

Massaranduba 1' x 6', was $2.89/LF, now$1.99/LF

Tigerwood 1' x 6', was $3.49/LG, now $2.69/LF

Visit one of Stone+Wood Outlet's retail stores to see examples of these Weekly Specials or any of the other great hard surface products available.

www.Decking-Outlet.com - Discount Wood Decking Web Site

Wood Decking is a relatively new item for us here at Stone+Wood Outlet. We started out by choosing some of the finest tropical hardwood decking products that were not being distributed in our region. We chose TigerWood, Cumaru, Angelim Pedra and Select Grade Ipe.

Pictured above is our Angelim Pedra, not the most popular option, but certainly a great choice in terms of durability. Once it is stained with an oil finish it looks fantastic.

Our sister company in New Hampshire, Uncle Hildes Lumber Outlet, also carries a great variety of exterior decking products. They carry a similar array of naturally durable hardwoods as well as several varieties of Composite Decking including Fiberon and Sensibuilt.

We've decided to join forces on an internet market project and have officially opened www.decking-outlet.com. Our goal is to provide the best possible customer service along with great pricing and a huge selection of products. Check out the new web site at www.Decking-Outlet.com.

Life as the wife of a "Flooring Guy"...

As the wife of a “flooring guy” I have developed a deep appreciation for anything flooring over the years. It’s impossible to walk into a restaurant, a mall, or even a friend’s house without some recognition of what is covering the floors. Every home we have lived in over the past 13 years has had a flooring makeover. We recognized early on that we could add quick value as well as beauty with this relatively inexpensive update.

When the opportunity arose in the fantastic Portland market to get into business for ourselves we were excited about the prospects. After 15 years of experience in every aspect of the flooring business, my husband finally took the leap into self-employment. We wanted Stone+Wood Outlet to be the type of place that we would shop. We offer a great selection with a huge in-stock selection (which we would have loved when we were working on our flooring projects!) with something for everyone’s taste. When you enter our warehouse, you’ll see hardwood, stone, ceramic, laminate, and even decking. You’ll be greeted by our knowledgeable and personable staff- and very likely you’ll have the unique pleasure of working with my husband! (Tell Steve that Lisa sent you!)

We have always appreciated the beauty and diversity of tile. We are very excited about our recent acquisition of beautiful, high end tile- that we will be offering to the public at amazing prices. If you are in the market for tile…or will be in the near future- you owe it to yourself to check out this special offering. Tile looks great in the traditional rooms-bathrooms and kitchens, but it also creates a sophisticated living and family room. We found one of our favorite uses of tile has been in the homes where we had a combination of kitchen/breakfast nook/family room. We used a large 18x18 tile in a dark, natural state tile which had a lovely appearance, hid dirt well, and was easy to care for. We hope that you give Stone+Wood Outlet a chance. Stop by and say hello to Steve- remember, tell him Lisa sent you.!

The location was formerly a Portland area icon - The Tool Peddler, one of the leading discount stores for wood working tools.

Stone+Wood specializes in discounts, close-outs, over-stocks, liquidations and any other good deals it can find on material. Unlike the typical retail flooring store, we have inventory at our stores! We offer Engineered Flooring and Handscraped flooring as well. With prices starting at $1.99 per SF for hardwood flooring, we offer the DIY consumer a huge variety of in stock options for flooring.

We sell only the highest quality decking materials in naturally durable, strong and hard, tropical hardwoods and composites. Any of these materials will far outlast the typical softwood Western Red Cedar or Redwood deck. Build it once to last.

Breaking News: Stone+Wood just purchased the remaining inventory from The Tile Source Store in Portland, Oregon. Formerly a popular wholesaler to Portland area retailers, The Tile Source Store specialized in high end Italian, Spanish and Mexican Stone Tiles. We have over 350 pallets of material that will be arriving at our stores over the next week, including a fantastic selection of colors, styles and textures. As part of this purchase, we have received an amazing number of trims, edgings and corners; we’ll be selling it all at deep discounts.
